Update and Files are Back up to Download

I can't believe it has been almost 6 months since I last posted. Somehow I knew that Carl was on his way. The night after my last post about taking a break, I went into labor. I will have more on that below with some cute pictures of Carl, of course. But first, I wanted to address why some of my materials were unavailable to download for a period of time.

Stolen Files
I was shocked to find that a few of my printables had been stolen and were being sold by people. Even more upsetting, some of the customizable files were slightly modified and then sold and there was nothing I could do about it (because they were "different" even though it was no question they had just slightly modified my files). I was so upset by my work being sold for profit, that I immediately  took the files down.

After numerous e-mails and a few posted comments, I came to the decision to make my files available to download again. While I am still upset that people were profiting from my work, I don't want to punish the people that would like to use the printables in their homes.  I apologize to those that have come to my site and were unable to download the files you wanted.

Now on to the more exciting news.

Carl's Arrival
After spending the evening in Labor and Delivery on Dec 5, I had decided I needed to take a break from BRT while Carl finished baking. Little did I know, my water would break at 12:30 AM on December 7th. For a first-time delivery, my labor was extremely fast (so fast my epidural didn't have time to kick in). Carl was born at 7:05 a.m. on December 7, 2012. He weighed 5 lbs 3 oz, and was 18 inches long. He was born premature at 35 weeks and 6 days. He spent a night in the NICU, and then he had to stay an additional night in the hospital due to his bilirubin levels. We were so excited to finally bring him home!

It has been an amazing past 6 months. I was lucky enough to be given the greatest gift ever by my husband, the opportunity to stay home. Due to my 12 weeks on bed rest, I was my maternity leave was up at 6 weeks postpartum. He was only 6 lbs and because he was premature and it was flu season, the NICU doctors and his doctor all said it would be best if he was kept at home for the first 12 weeks. My husband and I made the decision that it would be best for Carl if I stayed home the remainder of the school year with him. While I miss teaching, I have loved every minute at home with Carl and wouldn't trade it for the world.

At the end of the post, I have included some pictures of Carl over the past 6 months!

Bed Rested Teacher Returning?
As of right now, I am unsure the direction I am going to take Bed Rested Teacher. Right now, I am focusing on being with Carl. But I hope to be able to return to blogging in some way within the next couple of months. Thank you to everyone that has sent me e-mails, commented on my site, and have Pinned ideas. You are all wonderful!
