Save the Date and Engagement Party Invites for my Sister

Today I wanted to take a minute to share the Save the Date and Engagement Party Invites I made for my twin sister's upcoming wedding.  My twin sister, Jess, and her fiance are not your average couple. My sister lives for music and concerts (especially 311). Her fiance, Scott, is an insane skateboarder. Together, they're total foodies and outdoorsy people. They love to snowboard, kayak, go to the beach, travel, etc. But they never go alone. Their french bulldog, Stella, joins them. Stella loves to kayak and chase crabs on the beach. She even dines with them at restaurants when allowed. Stella will be one of Jessica's bridesmaids on their big day.

The engagement party invite was easy because it was fall and we wanted to incorporate Stella. But when it came time to do their Save the Date, I had the hardest time. It took me forever to create something that fit their personalities and life-style. My sister had already decided she wanted a Stella head magnet so that Stella would be on everyone's fridge. In the end, I came up with the Save the Date below. If you look closely, you can see a little nod to both Jess and Scott. I love how it turned out. More importantly, Jess and Scott loved it. So I thought I would share the final product.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! We will be trying to stay dry here in Maryland.

The Save the Dates were so very well received. Jess has received many phone calls and Facebook comments from friends who said they were their favorite Save the Dates they ever received. Good Job Laura - now on to designing the wedding invitation - LOL
